Gyno-Daktarin

Gyno-Daktarin is a medicine used for the treatment of vaginal fungal infections. Its active ingredient miconazole kills various types of fungi and yeasts. Gyno-Daktarin is intended for local application. This means it treats the infection at the source. In most cases, the symptoms will improve after a few days. Gyno-Daktarin is a prescription-only medicine.

Gyno-Daktarin is used to treat vaginal fungal infections. These types of infections are very common and are often characterised by an increase of white discharge from the vagina and irritation or itching in the vagina/labia area. They can occur when the vaginal flora is disrupted, for instance due to menstruation or the use of panty liners or perfumed soaps. Gyno-Daktarin kills the fungi and yeasts causing the infection and, by doing so, is very effective at eliminating the symptoms.

Gyno-Daktarin is available as vaginal capsules and cream. Gyno-Daktarin cream should be inserted into the vagina using the disposable applicator provided. The cream can also be applied to the outer vagina area (vulva) to relieve the itching and irritation. Gyno-Daktarin vaginal capsules should be inserted into the vagina as deeply as possible using your finger. Both the cream and capsules should be inserted into the vagina just before going to bed to allow the medicine to act while you sleep.
